WOMANHOOD x GIRLvsCANCER
Womanhood champions diverse, ethical and independent female-founded lingerie brands, and in October 2021, we were asked to capture the Womanhood X Girl vs Cancer campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With Womanhood having recently launched a new collection of lingerie for life post-diagnosis, six women came together to model the underwear and discuss their views on womanhood, pre and post cancer.
The majority of the day was spent working beside photographer Lily Brown, capturing the new stock on each woman and some BTS content, later filming the discussion. Having witnessed the courage it took each woman, not only to speak openly about their experience, but also to be filmed in their underwear, we decided to include some of the BTS footage in the final cut, placing the viewer in their position, even if just for a second.
