WOMANHOOD x ALEX LIGHT
Womanhood champions diverse, ethical and independent female-founded lingerie brands, and as part of doing so, wanted to elevate their already popular Journal through film. We partnered with Womanhood and body-positive influencer Alex Light to bring four conversations on womanhood to life. Due to the honesty of each of the women, opening up about body image, illness, weight-gain and pregnancy, the series received an overwhelmingly positive response, with over 100,000 views and hundreds of comments of empathy and encouragement.
During the one-day shoot, we worked alongside photographer Lily Brown, prior to filming the interviews. In order to convey the naturality and transparency of the brand and the people behind it, we made the conscious decision to include BTS content in the final cuts. We did so in the hope that it would juxtapose the photoshoot with the subjects discussed during the interviews, highlighting the strength taken by each woman to take part.
