CANNES LIONS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CREATIVITY | MEDIA ACADEMY 2019
Cannes Lions, a five-day International Festival of Creativity, is the largest gathering in the creative marketing community. With multiple academies, the event is synonymous with creative excellence, hosting leaders from companies including Google, The New York Times and Publicis Media. We were asked to join the Media Academy in order to capture content throughout the week. Having joined the team in Cannes, we then went to the Ascential offices in London and New York for the alumni and speakers to be interviewed and share their thoughts on the event.

Whilst in Cannes, we subtly filmed on iPhone throughout the sessions and social events, compiling the footage into a graduation day video, shared with the class on the final day. As the video was a surprise, extensive camera equipment was not able to be used, hence the choice of an iPhone.
As aforementioned, after the event, we went to both the London and New York Ascential offices, where the alumni congregated to share their experiences of the Academy. We took this footage, combining it with that taken in Cannes in order to make a further two videos. These have since been used by Cannes Lions as marketing tools in order to promote the Media Academy.
